Yes, we know we have said it before, but, PBL! PBL! As the closing event to this bimester’s project, all the groups of the third grade had a sale of hand-made aloe-vera based products. There was a lot of work behind it. In the classroom, we learned about cacti and the conditions they need to live, their properties, and how people can benefit from them. We then went on a walk around the school to look and study our local cacti. We researched how to make aloe-vera products. We went on a field trip to a cacti greenhouse. We designed our team´s logo, name. We learned about profit margin so we could make a profit with our sale. And, finally, we had a very successful sale! Teamwork, significant learning, multiple-intelligence learning while having A LOT of fun, are just some of the advantages of Project Based Learning. That’s why we will continue to say, PBL! PBL!
