Old MacDonald Had a Farm
PBL! PBL! First soccer players and now, animals! This bimester the project for first grade is called Old MacDonald Had a Farm. However, its objective is not only to learn about farm animals but also to make our kids think about how farmers have to adapt to new ways of life. Farmers now have to come up with creative ways to make money from their trade and one way is visiting schools and giving children the chance to interact with farm animals. We chased chicken, fed goats and sheep, studied a cow and we even saw a hen lay an egg right in front of us!! PBL really allows us to have fun while we learn!
