The Climate Reality Project is an international organization created in 2006 by Al Gore, Nobel Peace Price, with the mission to catalyze a global solution to the crisis of climate change by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society.
On April 28th,, ITJ was honored with the visit of Kenneth Berlin, CEO of The Climate Reality Project, and Mario E. Molina, Director of Climate Reality Leadership Corps in The Climate Reality Project.
They were able to go through our campus of Santa Mónica and Zona Esmeralda getting to know the students and their classrooms, interacting with them and knowing their daily activities.
There was also the possibility to make a Radio Interview for the program ITJ Green. In this program we were able to know their point of view towards their organization, the importance of Mexico and Latin America and the Road to Paris campaign.
The formalization of The Climate Reality Project Mexico and Latin America A. C. (TCRP Mx & LATAM) took place in the Centro Cultural Luis Nishizawa, with this they will be able to link 7,000 world wide volunteers interested in creating a network for the exchange of information and communication about the climate change crisis.
ITJ is the first entity to support TCRP Mx & LATAM in their commitment to take action. The first group of 21 Climate Leaders under the age of 18, took stage and were able to give an example of how young people are capable to achieve acts of leadership. All of the students of our five campuses have taken steps to achieve their 10 acts of leadership.
