Fairy tales

On Wednesday the 17th of June, our students from 8th grade took part in our yearly English presentation. This year our project involved the analysis and representation of several classical fairy tales. Working through PBL, the students were able to use their creativity and develop new insightful versions of the Grimm Brothers and Andersen’s original stories. In doing so, not only did they develop team work and IT skills, but also, they tackled interesting questions regarding the psychological nature of folk tales.

Mexican Gastronomic Heritage

The 9th grade students made a wonderful project in their Mexican History class, it was about the Mexican gastronomic heritage. They prepared various dishes from different times in Mexican History such as the pre-Hispanic, Colony, Independent, Revolutionary and present day periods. This project was presented to their parents and we had the opportunity of counting with an expert chef that gave wonderful feedback. This project was an excellent way to know our roots and past through food. The creativity was the main ingredient of this presentation. Congratulations to 9th graders!.

Our Green Adventure!

It’s been a year since our school joined the green adventure! Rachel Gutter, Director of the Center for Green Schools recognizes the efforts we have undertaken at ITJ. Our kids, from Kindergarden to High School, have developed and joined several projects including their training as Climate Change Leaders, the sea turtle rescue, and recycling and reforestation campaigns among others…

Special Hero

Dad:  A son's first hero and a daughter's first love... What an important person in every child's life!

For that reason ITJ celebrated father's day in a great way, creating special activities bringing the opportunity of sharing valuable father - children time, smiles, and laughs while playing games.

Jorge, our Physical Education teacher was responsible for making them had a great time.. So they did it!!!
Happy father's day!!!

Scratch Day!

What is Scratch? It is a software that teaches students to become computer programmers without them knowing, because for them, Scratch is nothing but fun. Year after year we watch our kids come up with more complex presentations and more interesting sequences. This year wasn’t the exception, our minds were blown with the work our kids produced. Come and have a look!

5th ITJ Run!

This 2015, we organized the 5th ITJ Run, which aims to bring the Thomas family together.

It was a joyful Sunday where our students from Kindergarden to High School and their families gathered together in a fun recreational atmosphere.

El Parque Bicentenario is a 100% ecological park that grants us with beautiful landscapes! It was an ideal location to host for our 3, 5, and 10k Run!

The most important mission of this event is to encourage our community into sports in a fun way. Each year, the number of runners has increased, as well as, the team effort from our ITJ family and staff. Congratulations runners! We’ll see you next year!
