A very fun day was the result of our fieldtrip to Six Flags. Students from 6^th to 9^th grade enjoyed a wonderful sunny day at this amazing park. Students and teachers lined up to ride the thrilling roller coasters like “Batman the Ride” and “Superman”, the new “Sky Screamer”, “The Kilawea”, “Boomerang” and many more. It was a very exciting day, and we are sure that they will remember forever!

A couple days ago our school was honoured to receive a group of Buddhist monks from Tibet who came to share a special moment with our Upper Elementary and Middle School students. These monks are part of a group called “The Mystical Arts of Tibet”, an organisation supported by Richard Gere and the Drepung Loseling Monastery in Lhasa Tibet. This group is dedicated to teach and promote the arts (like music, dances, and mandala sand paintings) from their culture and also to spread a message of peace, responsibility and love for all. It was an amazing and truly multicultural experience for our ITJ community.

In the last week of May, we celebrated Mom and Dad with an exciting rally where families played different games by following some clues to get to the next station. They decoded secret messages, ran and jumped through hoops and tunnels, found differences between pictures, took funny photos in a photo booth, just to name a few. Kisses, hugs, and laughs were present all the time; this was a great experience where families could enjoy some time together.

On May 14th, KII had their PBL presentation about "Insects" where kids demonstrated what they had been working on and researching for this topic. Through the whole project children and parents were super excited investigating and bringing material, posters and pictures for the class; every recess children rush to the garden to look for any insect they could find, and they played to find some "Escamoles". It was a great experience for everyone, learning and and having fun!

Remember this line? All Dorothy wanted when she was trapped in Oz, was to go back home. She made some amazing friends and had incredible adventures but, in the end, she wanted to go home. Why? Because that’s where her mother was. Because our mother is our home, wherever she is. This year, we gave our mothers a few minutes to rest, to relax, to be pampered the way they pamper us every day. And although we will never have enough words to say how much we love them, we can certainly try to show them. Thank you, mom. Because of you, there is no place like home.
