This year, The Thomas Jefferson Musical Theatre Company produced Aladino, The Musical! This great play about a young courageous boy who strives to make his dreams come true captivated our hearts. We are very proud of all of the students that participated in this marvelous production and are eager to know what next year’s production will be about!

APF’s Moms prepared special activities for our students to celebrate Children’s Day. They turned ‘’Terraza’’ into a funfair full of games and activities. Everyone had a great time playing and celebrating!

We get everything from the earth; a place to live, food, and a way to earn money. But we don't often give something back. It is time to change that and to do so, we are going to give food back to the earth! We are making a compost to reuse organic waste from our homes and use it to feed our school gardens. What are you going to do to give something back?

Last May 6^th Middle and High school lived an amazing experience reforesting with a double intention, on one side making our part for the planet and on the other  making social service. Reforestation took place in a donated terrain for the institution “ Luz de Vida” which is dedicated to rehabilitate people who suffer from different addictions since the age of 14. The land where we planted 250 trees is where they will be constructing a new rehab center. Our students where very enthusiastic and despite the hard work it meant it was a very satisfactory morning for all. Well done!

Last April 27th and 28th Middle and High school had their “Academy Nights”where in a ludic environment full of different activities students and parents enjoyed  a time together using their knowledge on different subjects like spanish,  grammar, writing, math, among others. Including a literature rally, English Jeopardy, making live frames with real plants,  modding crafts and even recreating Frida theater play  wearing costumes, playing casino games or training hard  in the sports high-performance workshop we all had a great time. We love to have ITJ families at school  participating with enthusiasm and working as a team with their children. Can´t wait for next year!

What would you do if you could be a kid again for a day? You'd probably spend the whole day playing with your friends, without a worry in the world. Every year we have the chance to be a kid again and we are lucky enough to to spend it playing with our students. We laugh, and shout, and forget about every problem we have, even if it is just for a day. Thank you, kids! For sharing your day with us. Happy Children's Day!
