Valentine's Day

On February 13th we had our San Valentine´s Day celebration in Middle y High. Twelfth graders were in charge of the organization and started selling kisses, flowers, balloons, chocolates, and even weddings two weeks before hand; finally last Friday they got to all the classrooms and delivered everything people had sent to others. It was great to be able to see friends receiving the gifts their other friends had sent them and even some people declaring their love to others. A great celebration for love and friendship which students enjoyed a lot and that we all hope will be continue every year!

With Great Power…

Spiderman had it right. With great power, comes great responsibility. This year, as every 3 years, all of us Mexicans have the possibility and the responsibility of deciding which way our country is going to go. And while sometimes we forget just how important our vote is, we are sure that this year all of our kids at ITJ will hold us accountable for issuing our vote.  Because we just held elections for Class President and our kids have learned that they need to listen to the proposals and evaluate them before casting their vote. They have learned that they need to make their own decision even if that means that they don’t agree with their friends. They have learned that only through their vote can a candidate become a president and that their active participation ensures the transparency of the process. Our kids have realized that they, and we, have great power. Let’s follow their example and act with great responsibility.

TJ-Radio / Workshop

What a better way for our students to begin the year than by sharing with other students what they have learned in the past! Three of them traveled to ITJ Zona Esmeralda to inaugurate their new radio cabin! They also gave an enlightening presentation to our new TJ Radio ZE students, shared their knowledge and gave them good advice about what they have learned in TJ Radio Querétaro. We are very proud of our radio students in Querétaro and wish ZE’s new radio students a great kick-off show!

Miss Jeanene @ WOBI

Miss Jeanene, founder of our beloved school, has shared her vision of education in the stage of WOBI (World of Business Ideas). Her philosophy is to empower the students´ will to create a better world through reflexion, imagination and action. We are proud of having Miss Jeanene as our mentor, keeping the same philosophy and vision.

Casa Segura

As part of our Entrepreneurial Parents program and a strategic alliance with the FBI, ITJ hosted “Casa Segura”. This enriching presentation lead by Arturo Fontes, an ex FBI special agent and active member of SWAT, gave our parents and community special tools and advices to avoid risk factors and assure safety at home.

Social Service at Foster Home

One of the greatest things we can do in life is to be generous, that is why our 7th and 8th graders go to the foster home "Esperanza para ti".  There they help, share, interact and grow emotionally thanks to the experience of acknowledgement  they get by watching how other people can live in harmony with their surroundings and full with the love they once lack of. All this becomes an unforgettable experience and a gift of wisdom and apprenticeship for every student.
