El proyecto se realiza a partir de la curiosidad de los niños; inicia cuando un alumno preguntó a la Miss -¿Por qué se ve la luna si es de día?- Buscamos la respuesta,  surgieron más preguntas y es así como se da éste proyecto.

Hubo gran interés por parte de los niños, hicimos experimentos que explicaron algunas de las preguntas y además dieron la oportunidad de explorar diferentes materiales y ser testigos de los fenómenos químicos y físicos que explican los por qué?

 Nos cuestionamos, investigamos, aprendimos y mucho nos divertimos!

Remember when you were a little kid and you would dance jumping up and down to the beat of a cool song? Well, last Friday, June 13, all of us, 5^th graders did just that. We had our disco night! It was a night for sharing, laughing and dreaming of all the new adventures we are going to have.  Because “dancing is dreaming with your feet”, so let’s dance and let our feet carry us away!

“The monsters are gone."

"Really?" Doubtful.

"I destroyed the monsters. That's what fathers do.”

This is a quote from one Fiona Wallace’s books; and it couldn’t be more true.  Fathers are our every- day superheroes. They are stronger, smarter and funnier than anyone else. They can keep us safe from everything and everyone. To celebrate our fathers, this year we invited them to spend  a technology class together, building a robot as a team and we LOVED it. Because spending time with our fathers is the best thing that can happen to us. Our fathers make us happy. That’s what fathers do.

La relación Papá-hijo se fortalece a través de  experiencias compartidas.  Los aprendizajes que llevamos en el alma  son aquellos que dejan huella desde la infancia. Hace unos días se brindó la oportunidad a los papás del Kinder para pasar unos minutos  con sus pequeños  compartiendo juegos y dinámicas divertidas.  El poder ver las caritas de los pequeños viviendo esta experiencia es gratificante. Gracias papás del Kinder por su asistencia y entusiasmo. Seguramente ustedes también llevaron en su corazón esta vivencia.

El pasado mes de mayo, seis alumnos de la sección de Middle & High School y locutores de Radio ITJ tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer al famoso periodista y gran maestro, Pedro Ferríz De Con  quien es un ejemplo para todos quienes encuentran una gran  satisfacción al hacer radio y quien impulsó la Revolución del Intelecto. Se dirigió a nuestros alumnos con gran interés por su crecimiento personal y laboral como comunicadores amateurs y les dijo: …sean siempre comunicadores congruentes; es parte de su responsabilidad y compromiso…¨ Fue una experiencia muy motivadora. ¡Muchas gracias Pedro Ferriz De Con!

Who would have thought that, with the flick of a finger, we could have the whole world?! Well, now we do.  This year, with just one finger, we have gone on space walks, built electrical circuits, made movies,  explored archaeological sites and learned what a balanced meal looks like. How is this possible? With a new classmate that we REALLY like: iPads! When used correctly, iPads are an extraordinary learning tool. They open endless possibilities for new experiences without leaving the school. We can´t wait to see what places we will visit and what skills we will develop next year thanks to our new classmate!
